Industry Challenges... taking them up

  • The extent of MADDEL's service is broad. A primary strength is to listen, to hear and to innovate.

    Our expertise spans:

    • provision of early response shelter - transformed to permanent shelter
    • hygiene and sanitation - treatment of human waste and wastewater for disaster-struck communities
    • potable water production
    • sustainable living development programs (health care, education, skills development, micro credits/economy)

MADDEL acknowledges that each calamity is different, just as each community is different and each recovery is different. We strive to implement our philosophies of Hope is in the house and Strive to Serve to Help to Save.

Amid global Aid activity, shelter solutions tend to be of "one-size-fits-nobody"...

    • No workable high wind resistance
    • Not effectively dry in wet weather conditions
    • No effective insulation
    • No personal security
    • No privacy
    • No real prospect of being transformed into a permanent dwelling
    • Not conducive to creating a renewed community
    • Not an instrument of hope.

To be effective in what we profess, MADDEL seeks to work one on one with NGO’s that have specific field and shelter problems that they are trying to resolve.

MADDEL shelters are built using polypropylene core-flute and/or light gauge galvanized metal or a combination of both. Our equipment is designed to accommodate design change. We seek to listen to our client’s shelter aspirations and to work with the client to deliver the optimum unit to satisfy the need.
