As the concept for an instant fold-out, flat-pack shelter continued to evolve beyond the highly innovative designs of the Mk.1, and Mk.2 shelters, a strong need became apparent, for a shelter product to fit with a more familiar building format, and meet international Shelter Standards in terms of design features, safety specification,  logistical requirements and overall cost.

MADDEL responded to this seemingly impossible task with the brilliant Mk.5 Shelter.

The MADDEL Mk.5  Shelter is far more compliant with the Transitional Shelter Standards 09a document developed by Shelter Centre, than any other shelter currently known to exist. 

Moreover, MADDEL's design goes even further beyond "Transitional"... The Mk.5 is also Transformable, meaning that it can be engineered and constructed to various strength and wind ratings, cladded externally and lined internally with traditional building materials and fitted out with separate rooms, plumbing and electrical services.
